Before going to explain
what's the significance of education in human's life. I want to make you determined What's Education? First of all I would like to introduce from
the meaning of Education.
Basically,
Education is all about getting Knowledge and learning with academically,
technically, practically, physically and spiritually in Human life from the
birth. Education is all about getting knowledge and learning, Understanding
means; understanding about any particular subject or many subjects. In another
terms, The most important resources of any country are its people. But
they must be trained and educated to utilize available means and resources to
an optimum level. It is the education that makes people conscious, disciplined
and productive. Educated people know the importance of their health and the
need of nation development as well. Besides, educated people are more
knowledgeable and make better voting choice to help maintain good governance.
Since education provides skilled manpower needed in all the areas for
development, it is often taken as the first , the foremost and essential
infrastructure of the development. A good education includes both academic and technical
education. Education is the source of skilled manpower that is responsible for
lifting the country towards development. It makes the citizens aware regarding
their rights and duties towards the nation. Education is one of the greatest
qualities of man which separates it from other animals. Education develops
ability in man and makes him competitive in today's modern world. Education
provides the power to distinguish what is right and what is wrong. So,
education is a major factor of a human's success. Education is a right, like the right to have proper food
or a roof over your head. According to the Article 26 of the 1948 Universal Declaration
of Human Rights states that “everyone has the right to education”. Education is
not only a right but a passport to human development and sucess. It opens doors and expands
opportunities
and freedoms. It contributes to fostering peace, democracy and economic growth
as well as improving health and reducing poverty.
According to Research learning is also another
part of Education, ”Learning” is an in build power connected to
every human being’s, it is not about a grade in the school or college. It is to
train the brainpower ethically. Learning is a never ending process, starts with
the birth of the mankind and it goes till mankind exists. It does not indicate
to particular thing, subject or place, in the same way there is no time, limit
or age for it. Mind is like an empty vessel at the time of human’s birth, it
keeps developing as human grows with the lot of skill, will and efforts. It is
something that nobody can teach, it’s an in build power evolves at personal
level, Learning is the name for the mistakes we committed, we learn our self
from our mistakes, our past experience, by following another people, nature and
from our surrounding. Also something we
respond or reflect then we try to adjust and adopt which we feel it could be a
part of our life. Learning can be getting new, or maybe modifying and also
reinforcing, existing expertise, conducts, ability, values, or maybe personal
preferences and may even involve synthesizing different types of data. There is
no need of any knowledge if brain power is in order. It should have the
attitude to learn new. That will be enough. Research have found that 10% people
learn by reading, 20% people learn by hearing, 30% people learn by seeing, 50%
people learn by seeing & hearing, 70% people learn from what they say &
write and 90% people learn from what they do.
Learning is something which gives us
constant knowledge and doesn't repeat same thing again and again, it always
teaches new things as human being grows and faces different phases in life from
the childhood to old age.
History has found Education and
learning’s starts in human life from the mother’s womb. An embryo responds
to many things like sound, music and whatsoever mother repeats. Firstly,
an embryo feel it is something new but when the things are repeated then child
adopts the same inside of womb and memorize till life time. In our language we
say it learning’s. It is an inbuilt gift of God. In Hindu myth is published in Shrimad Bhagavad
Geeta (The Holy Book) about Abhimanyu, he is son of Arjuna & Subhadra and
nephew of lord Krishna. His education and studying started while he was still
in Subhadra’s womb. He overheard Arjuna informing Subhadra the tricks of how to
get into, quit, and eliminate various fight structures. Of these, it is of
observe, that he only observed how to get into (but not quit or destroy) the
key of the Chakravyuh development as Subhadra slipped away and thus Arjuna
could not finish his enlightenment. Krishna, recognizing that if Abhimanyu
understands the whole process, he would point the stability completely in
support of the Pandavas, prevents Arjuna from continuous the session, hence
Abhimanyu understands only how to get into the Chakravyuha. This shows that
person begin studying from the mom's womb. After child's birth, kid come to the new
world were the baby make an effort to associate with others, kid is not able to
start vision, the light seem to be impressive, as the child was in black since
9 months. But still than child tries and unhurriedly understands to start the
sight and looks at the nearby, this is the kid's first experience of seeing
this wonderful world around. And the wonderful characteristics greets the child
to the globe and tries to modify in the little globe. And progressively little
one mature in life. starts in human life at the age of 2nd or 3rd with
preschool, and Child’s first year of school is filled up with many wondrous
moments. It’s the time of tremendous social, emotional, physical and
intellectual activities. At this stage child will know about what sound does
“A” makes or what 2 + 2 is. Preschool Education may seems very simple as full
of just fun (games, music, story time, art dancing etc.), but there’s an
intense amount of brainwork going on .Kids learn from playful and creative
activity. Normally in preschools there are lot of puzzle work and joining the
blocks activity is given to child, this is not just an entertainment or a game,
it teaches the child problem solving and physics. This small learning’s will
help the child in future. The most important skill that kid will learn is
socializing and sharing. Not only this they will also learn to cooperate, to
work together and take turns, to participate in different activities and follow
the simple directions given. For making them aware about moral values story
telling is most famous, because it make kids not only understand the values but
also implement it in our life. They grasp this values soon because they starts
visualizing this story and understands it more immensely. When a child is in
his teen age the world seem new for them, they grow up and moves to the next
phase they learn moral values like honesty and other values like sharing,
kindness etc. this is the most significant time for every human being, in this
stage person decide the right education, and this will help them for life time,
post this people go for higher studies and get their degree. I hope that you
have determined the meaning as well as significance of education in human life
let’s determine our history of Education in Nepal and also help to determine
about the significance of Education in Human life.
Education in
Nepal
Education in
Nepal is not that developed. English education in Nepal started in 1910 BS with
the establishment of Durbar High School in Kathmandu during the Rana rule.
There were only 321 schools and colleges in 2007 BS. When compared to the
number of school going children, the number of schools were very low. Even
those provided were not evenly distributed and properly managed. Facilities of
higher education are also far from enough. Technical education is highly
limited, provided by very few educational institutions. It is difficult to find
jobs according to qualification. Above all, the general public are still not
aware about the value of education and poor people cannot afford good
education. Education is not limited in a single individual. It has equal
importance for a country.
In the past,
education was given orally. The father of a family taught his son about his
duties and the rules of the community. After this type of education, the
Gurukul system of education came where education was provided by Gurus in his
ashram. The Brahmins studied the Vedas, Upanishads, astrology and the science
of rituals. The Chhetris learned how to conduct administration and art of
warfare. Buddhist monks studied in gumba or vihar.Modern education in Nepal was
introduced by Rana Prime minister Jung Bahadur Rana after his visit to Britain.
He brought two English teachers from Europe and established an English school
at Thapathali palace in 1910 BS. At present, the school is known as Bhanu
Madhyamik Vidyalaya and it is located in Ranipokhari. When Bir Shumsher became
the prime minister, he allowed general people to receive education at this
school. Before, the school was only for the Rana's children. Dev Shumsher
contributed greatly in the field of education by establishing more than 100
language schools in the country. Similarly, Jaya Prithivi Bahadur Singh, the
then prince of Bajhang wrote a book named 'Aksharanka Shiksha' for the student
of language schools.Prime Minister Chandra Shumsher set up Tri-Chandra campus
in 1975 BS. It is the first college of Nepal. In 1990 BS, during the reign of
Juddha Shumsher, SLC Board of Examinations was set up. People were allowed to
set up schools. However, the literacy rate before the rise of democracy was
only 2 percent. After the rise of democracy, educational development started
rapidly. Many educational institutions were established including the Tribhuvan
University, that was established in 2016 BS. Even though, the system of
education was not so good. So, in 2028 BS, National Education System Plan was
implemented. It introduced vocational education for development of manpower.
New curriculum was introduced.
In 2031 BS,
Late King Birendra declared free primary education. In 2035 BS, he announced
the distribution of books free of cost. In 2038 BS, the curriculum was revised
and in 2049, new programmes were introduced. After 2049 BS, higher education
was developed. Several universities like Purbanchal University, Pokhara
University, Kathmandu University were established. By 2068, the literacy
increased and reached 69.5 percent. Various efforts have been made to lift up
education in national and local level.
From the above description we can analyze and
determine how significance is the Education in Human life . Instead of this
also I would like to enlist some essential aspects about the significance of
Education in human life they are as follows.
Aims of
education in Individual aspects:
The
education is very significance and here are some reasons for being educated:
To learn to
solve our own problems.
To be able
to use multiple languages.
To be able
to change society.
To have
higher status on education.
To be
civilized.
To know
about the country better and contribute on development.
To make
people aware of the mistakes they are doing.
To acknowledge
people about the importance of education.
Education improves thinking power, analytic
power, decisions making power and the value of education in human's life. I It makes life more meaning full and more
productive. Education is a most significance part of human's life. But for few
people, Education means only getting a good job and earning awesome salary, but
I think different. From my point of view, When u get education u become able to
think , what are the good things in your life and what are the bad things in
your life. you become able to make a fair decision regarding the problems of
your life. And these things make your life more valuable.

The ultimate aim of Education for All (EFA) is
sustainable development.
UNESCO’s Director-General, says: “When you
fund education, you are securing progress towards all the Millennium
Development Goals”.
Education is
regarded as the infrastructure for All Goals and Development of a Nation.

Why education is significance in Human life?
Education beats poverty: one extra year of schooling increases a
person’s earnings by up to 10%. 171 million people could be lifted out of
poverty if all students in low-income countries left school with basic reading
skills.

among the world.
· Education promotes gender equality by helping women control how many
children they have. Women with secondary education or higher have an average of
three children, while those with no education have an average of seven
children.
